Partialy Submerged Wave Barrier
Concept
The wave energy vector responsible for eroding the beaches can be removed by a Partially Submerged Wave Barrier installed a relatively short distance offshore.

The proposed PSWB will remove the wave energy vector and form two lagoons.
The Alternative Scenario
Managed Retreat
At some point in the not so distant future the cost of the current sticking plaster policy will outweigh the cost of resettling those affected by the barrier beach failing.
